We are currently moving a 133-year-old household Australian name for the third time in 12 years in the CBD of Sydney. I suggested this was a great time to explore the possibilities of cultural change, and reduce the carbon footprint as well as reduce their fixed operating expenses by going open plan instead of predominantly offices. I wanted to view the company first hand and seeing they had excess office space, said I could camp in their offices for a week to make my own observations and conclusions. Sometimes it’s more subjective for an outsider to read the watch of your own clock.

If you find it difficult to make hard decisions, it’s sometimes far easier and more palatable to get an external observer involved. If you think this may benefit your organisation I am more than happy to camp out and act as an external observer or Devils Advocate.
